About me

Hi. My name is Rich. I am an artist who enjoys exploring the expression of what touches my heart. My medium of expression is photography and digital art (not A.I.).

I live north of the town of Roswell, located among the rolling hills in Southwestern New Mexico near the infamous UFO crash site of 1947. Here the air is pure, the sky big and the coyotes sing at night.

You may be wondering, "What is photographic art?" Well, I start with an intuitive impression I first feel while on site photographing in the field. I quickly capture this feeling on a voice recorder and draw a sketch of the concept I "see".

In my studio I combine my HDR photographs with digital painting that helps to define further my feelings for the piece. I do this with the same intrinsic intent as a painter when putting brush to canvas — an intention to bring inner awareness into outer expression. Instead of paint, I use photons of light captured by my camera as well as "painted" upon my tablet monitor. I like to call this process of creating my photographic art, "painting with light."

I then transform this "photonic" image to a physical print by laying down the pigment inks of my printer upon fine art archival paper. These fine art prints serve as documentation of my most favorite of all endeavors — cultivating my creative process as an exploration into my own inner worlds.

My art is from the heart, created by hand via an awareness of Inner Self. A personal goal for my art is that it helps to inspire you — to serve as passage into your own Inner Worlds. In this way I would like for my artistic journey into self-discovery to also be of benefit to you too, a kindred Soul who has managed to find your way here via your own unique journey.
